The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Jibreel ﷺ came to me and commanded me to instruct my companions and those with me to raise their voices with the Hilal," or he said, "with the Tilbiyah," meaning one of the two.
حدثنا القعنبي عن مالك عن عبد الله بن أبي بكر بن محمد بن عمرو بن حزم عن عبد الملك بن أبي بكر بن عبد الرحمن بن الحارث بن هشام
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال أتاني جبريل ﷺ فأمرني أن آمر أصحابي ومن معي أن يرفعوا أصواتهم بالإهلال أو قال بالتلبية يريد أحدهما
[Its isnad is sahih] Reported by Tirmidhi, Hajj, chapter on raising the voice with the talbiyah, no. 829, and Nasai, no. 2754, and Ibn Majah, no. 2922, from the hadith of Abdullah bin Abu Bakr through this route. It is also found in the Muwatta (Yahya): 1/334. Ibn Khuzayma graded it sahih, no. 365, 2627, as did Ibn Hibban, no. 974.
