She asked, "Messenger of Allah, why have the people exited their state of consecration while you have not exited yours from your Umrah?"He replied, "I have matted my hair and garlanded my sacrificial animal, so I will not exit the state of consecration until I have slaughtered the sacrifice."

أنها قالت يا رسول الله ما شأن الناس قد حلوا ولم تحلل أنت من عمرتك فقال إني لبدت رأسي وقلدت هديي فلا أحل حتى أنحر الهدي
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Hajj, Chapter on Tamattu, Qiran, and Ifrad, etc., no. 1566, and Muslim in the Book of Hajj, Chapter explaining that one performing Qiran does not exit the state of ihram except at the time the one performing Hajj alone (Ifrad) does, no. 1229, both from the hadith of Malik through this chain, and it is found in the Muwatta (Yahya's recension), 1/394.
