They both reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ set out in the year of Hudaybiyyah. When he reached Dhul-Hulayfah, he garlanded the sacrificial animal, marked it, and entered the state of ihram.
حدثنا عبد الأعلى بن حماد حدثنا سفيان بن عيينة عن الزهري عن عروة
أنهما قالا خرج رسول الله ﷺ عام الحديبية فلما كان بذي الحليفة قلد الهدي وأشعره وأحرم
[Sahih] Nasai narrated it in Manasik al-Hajj, chapter on marking the sacrificial animal, no. 2772, from the hadith of Zuhri via this route, and Bukhari mentioned it as a suspended chain, no. 1699.
