Asma bint Umays gave birth to Muhammad bin Abu Bakr at Shajarah, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered Abu Bakr to instruct her to perform the ritual bath and then enter the state of ihram.

نفست أسماء بنت عميس بمحمد بن أبي بكر بالشجرة فأمر رسول الله ﷺ أبا بكر أن تغتسل فتهل
Reported by Muslim in the Book of Hajj, chapter on the ihram of a woman in postnatal bleeding and the recommendation that she perform ghusl for ihram, as should a menstruating woman, hadith no. 1209, from Uthman bin Abu Shayba, with this same chain.
