The Messenger of Allah ﷺ designated Dhul-Hulayfah as the place where the people of Madinah enter the state of ihram, al-Juhfah for the people of Sham, and Qarn for the people of Najd. It has reached me that he also designated Yalamlam for the people of Yemen.
حدثنا القعنبي عن مالك ح و حدثنا أحمد بن يونس حدثنا مالك عن نافع
وقت رسول الله ﷺ لأهل المدينة ذا الحليفة ولأهل الشام الجحفة ولأهل نجد قرن وبلغني أنه وقت لأهل اليمن يلملم
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Hajj, chapter on the miqat of the people of Madinah, and that they should not enter the state of ihram before Zulhulayfa, hadith no. 1525, and Muslim in the Book of Hajj, chapter on the miqats for Hajj and Umrah, hadith no. 1182, from the hadith of Malik through this same chain, and it is found in Muwatta (Yahya): 1/330.
