Sufyan did not trace the report back to the Prophet ﷺ through Sulayman, but Fitr and al-Hasan traced it back, saying that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The one who maintains kinship is not the one who simply reciprocates, rather, he is the one who, when his ties of kinship are severed, restores them."
حدثنا ابن كثير أخبرنا سفيان عن الأعمش والحسن بن عمرو وفطر عن مجاهد
