I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Allah said, 'I am ar-Rahman, and this is the womb (rahim). I have derived its name from My own name. Whoever maintains it, I will maintain ties with him, and whoever severs it, I will sever ties with him.'"

سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول قال الله أنا الرحمن وهي الرحم شققت لها اسما من اسمي من وصلها وصلته ومن قطعها بتته
[Sahih]Reported by Tirmidhi, Chapters on Righteousness and Maintaining Ties (al-Birr wal-Sila), the chapter on what has been said regarding severing family ties, hadith no. 1907, from the hadith of Sufyan bin Uyayna, through his transmission.
