Saad came to the Prophet ﷺ and asked, "Which charity is most pleasing to you?"He replied, "Water."
حدثنا محمد بن كثير أخبرنا همام عن قتادة
أن سعدا أتى النبي ﷺ فقال أي الصدقة أعجب إليك قال الماء
[Its chain is daif] Nasai narrated it in the Book of Wills, chapter on mentioning the disagreement over Sufyan's narration, no. 3694, 3695, and Ibn Majah, no. 3684, from the hadith of Qatada with this wording. Ibn Hibban graded it sahih, no. 858, and Hakim said it meets the standard of the two sheikhs, 1/414, but Dhahabi said, "No, for it is not connected," meaning Saeed bin Musayab did not meet Saad bin Ubada. The hadith has daif corroborating narrations.
