A woman reported from her father that she said, "My father asked permission from the Prophet ﷺ to enter, and once admitted, he came close and slipped between him and his shirt, kissing him and embracing him."Then he asked, "Messenger of Allah, what is the thing that may not lawfully be withheld?"He replied, "Water."He asked, "Prophet of Allah, what is the thing that may not lawfully be withheld?"He replied, "Salt."He asked, "Messenger of Allah, what is the thing that may not lawfully be withheld?"He replied, "That you do good is better for you."
حدثنا عبيد الله بن معاذ حدثنا أبي حدثنا كهمس عن سيار بن منظور رجل من بني فزارة عن أبيه عن امرأة
عن أبيها قالت استأذن أبي النبي ﷺ فدخل بينه وبين قميصه فجعل يقبل ويلتزم ثم قال يا رسول الله ما الشيء الذي لا يحل منعه قال الماء قال يا نبي الله ما الشيء الذي لا يحل منعه قال الملح قال يا رسول الله ما الشيء الذي لا يحل منعه قال أن تفعل الخير خير لك
[Its chain of transmission is daif] Ahmad recorded it in 3/480 from the hadith of Kahmas, with this wording, and it will come again at 3476.Sayyar bin Manzur and his father are both obscure narrators, whom only Ibn Hibban deemed reliable.
