She was among those who pledged allegiance to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. She said to him, "Messenger of Allah, may Allah's blessings be upon you, a poor man stands at my door and I find nothing to give him."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to her, "If you find nothing to give him except a burnt hoof, place it in his hand."

ممن بايع رسول الله ﷺ أنها قالت له يا رسول الله صلى الله عليك إن المسكين ليقوم على بابي فما أجد له شيئا أعطيه إياه فقال لها رسول الله ﷺ إن لم تجدي له شيئا تعطينه إياه إلا ظلفا محرقا فادفعيه إليه في يده
Graded, its chain of transmission is sahih. Tirmidhi transmitted it in the chapter on zakat, section on what has been reported concerning the right of the one who asks, hadith no. 665, and Nasai transmitted it, hadith no. 2575, both from Qutayba, with the same chain. Tirmidhi said, "Hasan sahih." Ibn Khuzayma graded it sahih, hadith no. 2473, as did Ibn Hibban, hadith no. 824, and Hakim, 12/417, and Dhahabi agreed with him.
