The Prophet ﷺ. And Muhammad bin Yahya al-Naysaburi narrated to us, Musa bin Ismail narrated to us, Hammam narrated to us from Bakr al-Kufi. Muhammad bin Yahya said, he is Bakr bin Waail bin Dawud, that Zuhri narrated to them from Abdullah bin Thalaba bin Suayr from his father, who said, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood up to deliver a sermon and commanded the giving of zakat al-fitr, a sa of dates or a sa of barley for every person. Ali added in his narration, "Or a sa of wheat shared between two people." Then they agreed in their narration, "For the young and the old, the free and the slave."

عن النبي ﷺ ح و حدثنا محمد بن يحيى النيسابوري حدثنا موسى بن إسمعيل حدثنا همام عن بكر الكوفي قال محمد بن يحيى هو بكر بن وائل بن داود أن الزهري حدثهم عن عبد الله بن ثعلبة بن صعير عن أبيه قال قام رسول الله ﷺ خطيبا فأمر بصدقة الفطر صاع تمر أو صاع شعير عن كل رأس زاد علي في حديثه أو صاع بر أو قمح بين اثنين ثم اتفقا عن الصغير والكبير والحر والعبد
