The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no zakat due from a Muslim on his slave or his horse."
حدثنا عبد الله بن مسلمة حدثنا مالك عن عبد الله بن دينار عن سليمان بن يسار عن عراك بن مالك
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال ليس على المسلم في عبده ولا في فرسه صدقة
Muslim narrated it in "Zakat," chapter "There is no zakat due on a Muslim for his slave or his horse," hadith no. 982, from the hadith of Malik through this chain, and it is found in Muwatta (Yahya) 1/277. Bukhari also narrated it in "Zakat," chapter "There is no charity due on a Muslim for his horse," hadith no. 1463, through another route from Abdullah bin Dinar with this chain.
