He reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever holds fast to seeking forgiveness, Allah will make for him a way out of every hardship, relief from every worry, and provide for him from where he does not expect."
حدثنا هشام بن عمار حدثنا الوليد بن مسلم حدثنا الحكم بن مصعب حدثنا محمد بن علي بن عبد الله بن عباس عن أبيه أنه حدثه
أنه حدثه قال قال رسول الله ﷺ من لزم الاستغفار جعل الله له من كل ضيق مخرجا ومن كل هم فرجا ورزقه من حيث لا يحتسب
Takhrij, its chain is daif. Ibn Majah narrated it in the Book of Etiquette, chapter on seeking forgiveness, hadith 3819, from Hisham bin Ammar, with this wording. Hakim graded it sahih (4/262), but Dhahabi said, "Hakam bin Musab is a person of unknown standing."
