A cloak of hers was stolen, and she began to invoke curses against whoever had stolen it. The Prophet ﷺ kept saying to her, "Do not lighten his punishment by cursing him."

[Its chain of transmission is daif] Ahmad narrated it: 6/45, from the hadith of Amash, and Nasai in Al-Kubra, hadith 7359, from the hadith of Habib bin Abu Thabit, both with the same wording, but he is a mudallis and I did not find explicit confirmation that he heard it directly. The hadith has a daif corroborating narration in Ahmad: 6/215.
