The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever recites the Quran and acts upon what it contains, his parents will be clothed on the Day of Resurrection with a crown whose brilliance is greater than the brilliance of the sun were it placed in your earthly homes. So what do you think of the one who himself acted upon it?"
حدثنا أحمد بن عمرو بن السرح أخبرنا ابن وهب أخبرني يحيى بن أيوب عن زبان بن فائد
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال من قرأ القرآن وعمل بما فيه ألبس والداه تاجا يوم القيامة ضوءه أحسن من ضوء الشمس في بيوت الدنيا لو كانت فيكم فما ظنكم بالذي عمل بهذا
[Its chain is daif] Ahmad narrated it, 3/440, from the hadith of Zabban bin Fayd through it, and Hakim graded it sahih, 567, 568, but Dhahabi rejected that, saying, "Zabban is not strong." And Zabban is daif, as already mentioned, 1287.
