The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Take on only as much worship as you can sustain, for Allah does not tire until you tire. The most beloved deeds to Allah are those done consistently, even if small."And whenever he performed a deed, he would maintain it regularly.
حدثنا قتيبة بن سعيد حدثنا الليث عن ابن عجلان عن سعيد المقبري عن أبي سلمة
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال اكلفوا من العمل ما تطيقون فإن الله لا يمل حتى تملوا وإن أحب العمل إلى الله أدومه وإن قل وكان إذا عمل عملا أثبته
Bukhari reported it in the Book of Clothing, chapter on sitting on a mat and similar things, hadith 5861, and Muslim in the Book of the Prayer of Travelers, chapter on the merit of consistent deeds such as night prayer and other acts, hadith 782, both from the hadith of Saeed Maqburi, in longer form. Nasai also reported it, hadith 763, from Qutayba, with the same chain.
