Ayesha reported,

Between the time he finished the evening prayer and the break of dawn, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would pray eleven units of prayer. He would give the closing salutation after every two units and conclude with a single witr unit. He would remain in his prostration for the length of time it would take one of you to recite fifty verses before raising his head.When the muezzin fell silent after the first call to the dawn prayer, he would rise and pray two brief units, then lie down on his right side until the muezzin came to him.

عن عائشة رضي الله عنها قالت

كان رسول الله ﷺ يصلي فيما بين أن يفرغ من صلاة العشاء إلى أن ينصدع الفجر إحدى عشرة ركعة يسلم من كل ثنتين ويوتر بواحدة ويمكث في سجوده قدر ما يقرأ أحدكم خمسين آية قبل أن يرفع رأسه فإذا سكت المؤذن بالأولى من صلاة الفجر قام فركع ركعتين خفيفتين ثم اضطجع على شقه الأيمن حتى يأتيه المؤذن
