He said that the Prophet's ﷺ recitation at night would sometimes be raised in volume and sometimes lowered.

[Its isnad is hasan] Ibn Khuzayma graded it sahih, no. 1159, as did Ibn Hibban, no. 657, and Hakim, 1/310, and Dhahabi agreed with him.
