It is reported from the Prophet ﷺ with the same meaning, in mursal form.
حدثنا أحمد بن يونس وسليمان بن داود العتكي قالا حدثنا يعقوب عن جعفر
عن النبي بمعناه مرسلا

[Hasan] Bayhaqi 2/190 narrated it from the hadith of Abu Dawud with this chain, see also the previous hadith. Yaqub's statement, "It is not established from him, Muhammad bin Humayd is daif."
