The Prophet ﷺ never omitted four units of prayer before Zuhr and two units before the morning prayer.
حدثنا مسدد حدثنا يحيى عن شعبة عن إبراهيم بن محمد بن المنتشر عن أبيه
أن النبي ﷺ كان لا يدع أربعا قبل الظهر وركعتين قبل صلاة الغداة
Bukhari narrated it in tahajjud, chapter on the two rakahs before Dhuhr, hadith 1182, from Musaddad, with this chain.
