Ibn Umar's caller for prayer announced, "Time for the prayer."Ibn Umar said, "Ride on, ride on."Then, just before the twilight glow disappeared, he dismounted and prayed Maghrib. He waited until the glow had faded and prayed the night prayer. Afterwards he said, "Whenever some urgent matter pressed the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to hurry, he would do just as I have done." He travelled during that day and night a distance that would normally take three days.
حدثنا إبراهيم بن موسى الرازي أخبرنا عيسى عن ابن جابر بهذا المعنى
Its isnad is sahih. Nasai narrated it in "Times of Prayer," in the chapter on the time when a traveler combines Maghrib and Isha, hadith no. 596, from the hadith of Ibn Jabir with the same wording at greater length.
