With its chain of narration and the same meaning, he said, "Let him perform two prostrations before giving the salam, then let him give the salam."
حدثنا حجاج حدثنا يعقوب أخبرنا أبي عن ابن إسحق
بإسناده ومعناه قال فليسجد سجدتين قبل أن يسلم ثم ليسلم
[Its chain of transmission is hasan] Ibn Majah reported it in Iqamat al-Salawat, chapter on what has been said about the two prostrations of forgetfulness before the taslim, no. 1216, from the hadith of Zuhri through this route, and Bayhaqi reported it, 2/339, from the hadith of Abu Dawud through this route.
